Commercial cover from New York City to New Caledonia.
The cover was censored on arrival and sealed with tape and stamped.

At the time, New Caledonia was loyal to the Free French.
It became a principal base for the United States in World War II.

The stamps are 20¢ prexies (Scott 825).
