Canada Souvenir Cover
July 15, 1950

This is an unaddressed souvenir cover from the post office
at the Calgary Stampede held in Calgary, Alberta.
The Calgary Stampede is a world-class rodeo.
Its history goes back to 1884.

The cover was prepared, stamped, and given two
strikes of the Exhibition Post Office circular dater.
The stamp is a 1949 4c carmine lake King George VI (SG 417).
The cover is not philatelically important, but
I was not aware that they had an exhibition post office.

Calgary is a wonderful city at the entrance to Banff and Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies.
It is similar to Denver.
