Tananarive is on the Indian Ocean side of Madagascar.
There are three CDS for Tananarive.
French colonial stamps were used in French post offices in Madagascar
starting in 1885.
It wasn't until 1894 that France claimed Madagascar.
The first stamps as a French colony were issued in 1896.
This cover is franked with a 1930 30c Prussian blue,
a 1908 20c orange and brown, and a pair of 1922
50c blue and black (Scott 155, 90, and 103).
The cover was addressed to San Francisco, California.
