Bergen is
opposite Oslo on the North Sea coast of Norway.*
The card used an indicia related to the long run of
Norwegian 'Lions Rampant.'
World War II had only recently concluded in Europe and
censorship was still underdway.
This card shows the censor number 1144's stamp.
The destination was Växjö
in southern Sweden about 160 km northeast of Helsingborg.
Växjö is home of some of the finest crystal-makers in the
world - Orrefors and Kosta.
