Persia to France
April 8, 1929
This first flight cover was sent from Teheran on the first
flight to Bagdad.
Its destination was Paris.
The cover is franked with 1928-29 airmail stamps.
The 5c olive brown and the 10c dark green were overprints of revenue
stamps.
The overprint included an airmail designator in Arabic, an airplane,
Poste arienne, and a denomination in black (Scptt C25 amd C26).
There is also a 1927 1k dull blue Riza Shah Pahlavi (Scott 733).
The sender requested airmail service and the cover was
handstamped with a first flight cachet.
