Extract From an Old Letter

We all like to scan old letters.  Here's one I came across not long ago.
"Boston, Jan. 1, 1845.
Dear Father --
I wish you and mother and all my friends a Happy New Year.  I will take it in a dividend from the Boston and Maine Rail Road if you will be kind enough to sign this order.
Yours, &c, Charles F. . . . . "
